Atlantic Regional Council (ARC)
of the
Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW)
On Friday afternoon, October 25 and Saturday Morning, October 26 we had our ARC meeting. Our speakers discussed various aspects of their personal educational journeys from very different places. They provided a lot of food for thought.
CTV television did a very short piece on the ARC, and they focussed specifically on one of our great guest speakers, Leanne Fitch (retired Chief of Police in Fredericton).
The boutique, the primary fundraiser for the ARC, raised $1350.
We were very pleased the NB Senator, Nancy Hartling, was able to attend, as well the CFUW National President Grace Hollett.
Kate Rogers brought greetings on behalf of the city, during the reception. Around 40 CFUW members from the region attended the ARC.
